In 2005, Catcher Robert Stock was considered the best high school player in the country after graduating a year early to attend USC at age 16. However, a disappointing collegiate career made him an afterthought during the 2009 draft. The Cardinals selected him in the second round and signed him for $525,000. Stock has flashed a great deal of potential through 37 games, batting .321 with 6 home runs. Still only 19 years old, Stock could move quickly up St. Louis’ prospect rankings.
