The Other Cuban Lefty

A lot has been said about Alrodis Champman, including here on this site.  However there is another Cuban left handed starting pitcher who has already signed a contract with an MLB club.  Noel Arguelles is a 19 year old who so far is probably best known for defecting with current Boston Red Sox farmhand and future everyday shortstop Jose Iglesias.  Arguelles has what should develop into a plus changeup and curveball but his control and command are well below average at this point.  He’s young and has limited professional pitching experience so most project him to make the Majors in three or four years.  He is an interesting prospect and the Royals deserve credit because they were basically able to add another first round pick to their system but for fantasy I would hold off and see how he handles the Minors.  He has a lot of athletic ability so he could move through the system quickly but he’s just too far away to commit a farm pick or the roster space.
