Top 250 Prospects Update: April 16, 2011

Top 250 Prospects Update: April 16, 2011

Here is this week’s update of our prospect list. After two slow weeks, the rankings are definitely moving a more quickly! We try to catch as much news as possible, but  feedback about what we missed is always appreciated.  Time permitting, I’m going to try to post one or two articles this week about prospects or MLB sleepers.

Two changes this week.  First, I decided to experiment by graduating pitchers who have appeared in 30 MLB games.  Relievers remain prospects too long under the 50 IP requirement (i.e., Britton graduating before Kimbrel makes no sense), but also, it cleared space to add new prospects.  Second, I added brief  updates to explain some of the prospect movements.  Are these changes better?  If not, we can always switch it back.

1. Bryce Harper—OF, Nationals
