Top 250 Prospects Update: May 9, 2011

Top 250 Prospects Update: May 9, 2011

Here is this week’s version of the Top 250 Prospects List. Once again, the moves on this list were pretty aggressive. Creating a new Top 100 was helpful because it convinced me—even if it’s early in the season—certain players (i.e., Neil Ramirez, Jake Marisnick) needed to rise faster because they were clearly having breakout seasons. For some interesting discussion, I posted the Top 100 on minorleagueball to get some feedback.  It’s a good question how much rankings should move this early, and updating them weekly has been a learning process. To show how quickly some would move the rankings, check out another Top 50 list on minorleagueball.  We’ll keep updating throughout the season and feedback is appreciated.
