Top 250 Prospects Update: August 28, 2011

Here is this week’s update to the Top 250 Prospect List. Amazing the milb regular season ends next week! We will publish the next update Monday night, but after that, should we keep doing weekly updates into September? The updates will be pretty brief since many players aren’t playing, but it’ll give us a chance to update the major leaguers and make some adjustment rankings before starting our re-rankings during the off-season.  As always, feedback is really appreciated so let us know any ideas for making the list better.

62. Dellin Betances—P, Yankees (-6)
After issuing no walks in his first AAA start, Betances walked 9 batters in last week’s start.

No problems this week, but value was getting high considering Walden has 9 BSVs.
64. Jonathan Singleton—1B, Astros (+2)
